How to use Twitter for your Business

As social media becomes an integral part of our lives, today, entrepreneurs and marketers see it as a platform with immense potential and turn towards it as a way to communicate with their customers in real time and reach the masses through a tweet, post or share at a time.
Setting up a profile on Twitter is relatively easy (and free), requiring a few simple steps and once this done, you have the world at your desktop. However, amongst the millions on twitter, the objective is to reach and then attract your target customers but the question remains that how would a business go about doing this?
Your profile should be reflection of your business, choose an appropriate username and have an attractive bio. Your visual and background images should also be relevant to your brand.
The most important thing is to make sure that your tweets are informative, relevant, conversational and catchy, bearing in mind that all this has to be within 140 characters or less. The character limit is present so that your target audience can access your tweets anywhere, even, via text messages.
Make sure that you tweet often as this will ensure that your company is at the top-of-mind of your target audience. It would be best to tweet three to five times a day, depending on your business purpose and its objectives.
Follow those accounts that spark your interest as that is a great way to interact and inspire ideas and be sure to engage others in conversations to easy a flow of communication and keep up with trends. It will also give you and idea about what your competitors are up to and where do you stand with your potential customers.
It is also possible to pay to promote your business on twitter through promoted accounts, promoted ads, promoted trends, etc.
In recent times, communication is the key to the success for any business be it a small or large and in order to grow, it must have presence on social media.
